My family and I stayed at Ellen's for our short trip to NYC. The area is ideal for families or those looking for a quiet retreat from the busy city but still conveniently close to the waterfront, parks, FiDi, grocery stores, restaurants, and metro.Ellen maintained excellent communication with us before and throughout our stay. Ellen's place was perfect for our needs. Easy access to the subway, getting uber rides, restaurants, yoga. As two women traveling together, we felt safe in the neighborhood and home. Ellen has made her place homey versus the many sterile bnbs I've stay in and she has many of the amenities stocked so if you want to cook, it's not a problem, if you forgot something, chances are she'll have it . We had a deluge of rain while we were there and the umbrellas really came in handy as well as her well stocked bathroom and kitchen. Ellen was very good with her communication, explaining details if needed or quickly responding for any questions. We would stay in Ellen's place again.

Our favorite part about this place was how quiet it was but also had so many things to do around the apartment. 2 blocks from Whole Foods and a 45 second walk to van leuwens ice cream shop. Beds were so comfortable and the place had everything we needed for an incredible weekend. Will definitely be back! Thank you for hosting us.

We are so happy that we stayed at Ellen’s home versus a hotel. The place is spacious and clean, the beds are comfortable, the shower pressure is amazing, and the quiet yet accessible location is ideal to come home to after a day out especially with a baby. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Ellen was very responsive and provided clear instructions to enter/exit the apartment. Great supplies for kitchen and bath. The location is super while easy access to west side Battery Park/waterway as well as to the subways but away from all city crowds. All in all this is a great place to stay for visiting NYC.

Ellen’s townhouse felt like home. Me and my family planned a last minute Christmas trip to NY to visit family. Although bnb hike the prices due to the holiday, I was very pleased to stay in a quiet environment other then renting a small hotel room. Loved the comfort of having the kitchen and laundry!The house was clean and very spacious, just like the pictures. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed! We shopped at target and made a few meals. After crazy days in the city we enjoyed coming “home” to rest! Lots of restaurants/ food shops near by we only ate around here since the tourists areas were way to busy. Tribeca was less crowded and we actually sat and ate at places recommended by Ellen. Communication was top notch! I felt like we were friends! Very responsive, kind and helpful even though she was far away! Any questions or minor things we had she responded with a solution immediately! Love this place didn’t want to leave! It made my visit to my hometown special.

This was an amazing stay! My family of six came for a long weekend to celebrate a milestone birthday. Check in was easy and Ellen was extremely communicative and responsive. The townhouse was clean, well stocked, and comfortably slept my family. There is good connectivity to the rest of NYC - very close to the 1/2/3 and A/C/E - and Tribeca is an adorable neighborhood in its own right. It was nice to have a home to come back to after a long day of sightseeing or to have a leisurely breakfast in the morning. Would definitely return - thanks, Ellen!

So are many other things.The host did a last minute booking and.We were recipients of a reduced nightly rate because it was available. Based upon our pricing that we were able to receive. I felt it was their value.I really appreciated the host being so responsive. As we reached out to her after we were ghosted by another bnb reservation.

Five stars in every way. Ellen was easy to reach and a pleasure to communicate with. All the info we needed was clearly communicated. Pristine and well-appointed home. Nespresso coffee. Comfy beds. Fluffy towels. Fun and interesting selection of coffee table books (we loved Dogs of NY and Humans of NY), cookbooks, novels, and puzzles. Fabulous, quiet location tucked away in a charming neighborhood next to the Hudson River Greenway. A home away from home, loved it!!

We had a fab stay at Ellens place. The beds were really comfortable. It was a great space. Lots of good places to eat nearby, close to the subway, and the walk along hudson river is great. Ellen made some great food recommendations, and was really responsive to any messages sent. great communication. It was easy to find, and get into. The area is very safe.

Our stay with Ellen’s is beyond perfect! The townhouse is situated in a quiet and safe area in Tribeca close to everything, Whole Foods Walgreens, nice restaurants… Ellen’s place is cozy and equipped with everything we need including cutlery, games and books for our 3 year old kid! Ellen herself is super kind and responsible to our need. We can’t wait to come back to New York and stay with Ellen soon!

Lovely and large place in NYC. it's much bigger than we were expecting and had it's own front door (not an apartment) which was nice. Close to lots of subway lines which made it easy to get anywhere. Ellen let us know as soon as the cleaners were finished so we could check in early which was great. Do yourself a favour and walk the 6 min to Frenchette bakery for coffee and baked goods for breakfast.

This property was wonderful and we look forward to returning. It has a perfect location, is spacious and is well stocked with everything we needed. Ellen stands out as perhaps the greatest host we have ever had. Because of an unexpected family emergency, we had to extend our stay twice and Ellen could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Additionally, there was one other request we made and Ellen responded immediately to our complete satisfaction. Throughout our extended stay, she was an absolute pleasure to deal with - I can’t say enough about her.

The space is as it is photographed, and the location is unusual, private, quiet, and provides direct access to a desirable downtown neighborhood. I think this is a great apartment and a great location for a family. The apartment is described as "luxury" but there is only one bathroom on the second floor. I have no problem with that, but I thought that what we paid was high compared to other "luxury" two bedroom locations in the area. This is my first Bnb experience where they want pre-approval of any guests and say, "no hook-ups, that is what hotels are for!" They have a camera and say they track who comes and goes.

Ellen was amazing! Honestly more than anything the location is probably the highlight. Location is hidden behind all the craziness of Manhattan. Walking distance to whole food and Walgreens, as well as some amazing restaurants. 100% would stay here again.

We spent five wonderful days. The apartment was cozy, comfortable, spacious. We found plenty and clean towels. We also got access to many streaming services on the big TV in the living room. The neighborhood is really quit and safe, near to the subway and full of nice restaurants. I found the host guide really useful to orient themselves in the first days. The only negative remarks is that we found some items allegedly left by a previous guest (toothbrush between the bathtub and the sink cabinet, and some leftover food in the fridge) which you don’t expect given the price you pay. It was a bit complex to understand how the light were working, but this is minor. In the end we really appreciated the stay and the host kindness.

My husband and I stayed here with another couple for the NY marathon weekend and it was perfection. Location is top notch, lots of closet space, huge beds, and easy check in. My only gripe is the beds and pillows were not hotel quality, but to be expected I guess since we didn’t book a hotel. I am very happy we chose to stay here and would recommend to anyone. Easy access to anything you might need including subway, shopping. Restaurants, water, and 911 memorial (which was breathtaking).

Ellen is a wonderful host and made some very kind and caring accommodations related to our infant daughter who was traveling with us. The home is extremely well-equipped with essentials and is in a great location with easy access to Tribeca's charming streets, stores, and views, as well as to the west side shore of Manhattan. The home also has a great high chair, which was a game-changer for our one year-old daugther. The listing is generally accurate however the home is darker than depicted. We also had one issue involving tree branches outside the bedroom window that on a few windy nights kept scraping against the glass, waking us up often during the night. We informed Ellen and she was very attentive. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.
