Great location, comfortable stay with a few quirks.The location was excellent—perfect for exploring Manhattan. The apartment was as described, though it's important to note that the host lives there with her toddler, so there was some clutter, and it wasn’t spotless. That said, it felt homey, and we didn’t mind at all. Just don’t expect hotel-level pristine.The walk-up stairs were a bit of a challenge after a long day out, but we took it as part of the NYC experience. Chewie, the host, was very accommodating and responsive throughout our stay. The other bedroom in the home was rented out to other guests, but we had minimal interaction and always felt safe and comfortable with our belongings.Overall, it’s a great spot if you’re looking for a more lived-in, local experience in the city and I'd definitely consider staying again. Chewie was a super friendly and helpful host when it came to literally anything and everything. The place was super cute and since I was there with my daughter it was perfect for her because Chewie let us use her son’s toys. The bedroom is pretty noisy but as Chewie said that’s what it is when you’re right in the middle of Downtown. We got used to it. I loved this super cute, comfy, perfect place. Thanks Chewie! ❤️

Chewie's place was as described and it was right down the block from the concert I was attending so it was nice to get "home" quickly and in bed at a reasonable time. However, in the main hallway when coming up the stairs to the apartment there was a dead cockroach on the stair on the third floor, and it was there on my way up to the room, and it was still there when I checked out the following day. As I was walking out during my checkout, the exterminator was making his way in to the building so at least the problem is being dealt with. The dead roach obviously made me very uneasy about staying in the building, but I was only in for one night so I think I made it out okay. If not for that major negative I'd really have nothing bad to say about the place.

Chewie has been an amazing host, she was always responsive via chat and she really helped us book some museums and other attractions even if she wasn't in NYC in that moment. The apartment is located in a wonderful area, full of restaurants and bars and it's conveniently close to most of the city's attractions! The place is a typical old apartment of the city, so do not expect a luxurious environment, but still it's absolutely worth the money 😊 We would definitely recommend it!

Chewies place matches the description, located in SOHO, just 10 min walk from shopping, 5 min walk to Chinatown. 1-2 min walk away from subway station. But need to climb 5 floors to the unit. I enjoyed my stay here, but it is a busy area so need to wear earplugs to sleep. Chewie tried her best to keep the place clean and spacious for the guests. Price is good for what it is. She is very responsive, also let me go in earlier to drop off bags

Super apartment for several nights in Manhattan! Nolita, Little Italy, Chinatown and LES are only a stroll away, and easy to get to the subway. Black Star Bagels is around the corner, plenty of eateries nearby and Whole Foods a walk up the block. Chewie's place had everything I needed and she did everything to make it a comfortable stay. The digital security codes made it so much easier and safer for access than keys in my pocket too!

This 2 bed rooms , nice location, owner is a very nice lady, thanks her very much for a early check in. Room is clean and very warm. Bed is very comfortable, and big enough. I am sharing with a father with a 4 years son from Paris, we are happy to stay together in a week, sometimes we had breakfast together. They are nice people too. Hope one day we could come back this nice apartment again soon. And thanks again for owning offered me many useful information, specially to find local Taichi groups.

Chewie's place was amazing, the best choice in Manhattan! Very cheap compared to the prices in this area with everything we needed there: fully equipped kitchen, veeeery comfy bed, a living room with TV as well as bathroom with a washing machine (rare find in this location). Chewie was very helpful and responsive. We felt safe and welcomed, just like home. It was also very easy to get in. Furthermore, Chewie and her son are the cutest family in New York, we miss you already!

WARNING CARBON MONOXIDE 3rd night of our stay we had to call 911 because of gas alarm at the corridor around midnight, sleep with windows open as we were told by firefighters ‘to be safe’. The next day we were forced to look for another place last minute. I want to warn other Bnb users.The worst part of this incident was HOST behavior. We were disregarded when we contacted her. She told us to wear EARPLUGS not to hear the alarm. She complained that sleeping with windows open causes not effective heating. When we moved out and asked for refund, she did not want to pay us back. AND accused us of not returning keys and checking out. Thankfully Bnb support helped us, we got the refund. But it took 3 days of our trip to explain to them that she is lying. Not what pictures show: older and dirty. Not referring to the toys laying around, I understand the emergency of going to hospital, but it was sleazy. Very loud at night, the windows are not airtight (plastic foil on the window).

This place is very different from the pictures and descriptions! I used to used Couchsurfing. This place is not even suitable for that website to host people for free! Once we enter the unit the kitchen was a mess. left with a pile of unwashed dishes. There was no way we could use the kitchen. The restroom was disorganized and with plenty of items everywhere.There was no shared space. It was used by the host and you cannot use it. All the spaces were filled with toys and stuff. You can barely find a space to sit! The living room was converted to a bedroom for the hosts. Also, Our room was full of host’s items (the drawers were full and we couldn’t use them).Also, the description mentions that this place has a “parking” but once I arrived and asked for parking instructions the host suggest finding a street parking and it is free until tomorrow 7 am or park in a paid parking!Overall, I think the location of the apartment is good but the situation inside is not acceptable to live
