My mom stayed in Dean’s place while in Brooklyn to help care for my second child. My parents agreed that it was super clean and nicely renovated. The bedroom was quiet and Dean was so lovely and communicative. Overall, it worked out as a home base for them while helping me out. It is worth noting that it’s a converted storefront which means that the front of the apartment (where the living room is) is all glass with a metal gate, which is covered by long drapes. It’s also on a fairly busy street, so there are sometimes people hanging out outside (they can’t see you but you can just hear them). My mom was initially surprised by that but it worked out well regardless

Dean was a fantastic host! He was a great communicator and super helpful towards meeting our needs as we were getting settled. The place was clean and looked like the pictures. His guest book was very helpful towards looking for the best local restaurants and places to visit. The location was within easy walking distance to the subway. Many of the restaurants were located just up the street. My husband has difficulty walking, so this being a first floor apartment made it easy. The apartment was quiet as well. We will definitely be renting from Dean again on our next NY stay.

we booked this unit for a month and we loved every moment of it! It is located right on the amazing Smith st which have an amazing selection of great places to eat , cool shops, and multiple convinient stores. Also a short 5min walk to the subway. The unit itself is well maintained and beautifully decorated. Very comfertable bed, awesome reclining sofa, well equiped kitchen, and a dedicated working space. we were working remotely during the day and enjoyed the city life during evenings and weekends. Dean, is an amazing host. Very responsive and always willing to help. we had multiple requests during our stay (and before , as we got ready to travel) and Dean was always there, positive and willing, making all the effort to make our stay perfect, and even proactively checking that we have all we need. Highly recommended!

I had an amazing month-long stay at this apartment. The place was immaculate, with brand-new, comfortable furniture. Although I didn’t cook much due to its proximity to Smith Street, the kitchen is well-equipped for those who enjoy cooking. The coffee maker was a highlight for me! It really made me feel at home. Dean was super helpful with any issues that came up. But there really weren’t any issues. I hope to stay here again the next time I’m in Brooklyn.

We stayed in Dean’s apartment for a whole month and really enjoyed our stay there. The place was really clean, and very well equipped for a month long stay. Plus Dean was very responsive for any questions we had. He is a great host and was there for anything that we needed: parking, deliveries, cleaning supplies. The neighbor that’s mentioned in the other comments was sometimes loud, but it wasn’t that frequent- maybe 2 or 3 times for the whole month. I think Dean worked it out with him and he provided a soundproof carpet that seemed to be working!

I was in New York with my son for a family visit and vacation. Dean's apartment is exactly as described. It is cozy and functionally furnished and is suitable for longer stays thanks to a fully equipped kitchen. There is good internet access and two large televisions with the most popular streaming services. Also, most reviews of previous visitors are right, praising Dean's apartment and mentioning the tenant above the apartment ;-) (read the other reviews and you'll know what I mean). However, we didn't find it any more disturbing and even got to know said tenant briefly. Dean is extremely accommodating and always has an open ear for his guests. You can reach him well via the message function in the Bnb app, besides, he is quite often on site anyway. Thanks Dean for the comfortable accommodation in Brooklyn, so we had great days in Brooklyn & Manhattan!

Great place to stay! Location was perfect and felt like you were living like a local. There were a lot of restaurants nearby as well as a subway station to easily get to the city. The bed was really comfortable and the place was super clean. Only downfall was the neighbor upstairs was noisy but not the owner's fault. He did provide earplugs for any noise that might be disturbing at nighttime. I would stay here again!

We were in town for a wedding but had some free time to check out the city. Dean's place was great. He gave us some recommendations for things to do, and one of his brunch recommendations was fantastic. We could walk to various spots easily and were also near the F train, which was super convenient. All in all, it was a great stay!

This place was great and perfectly suited our needs. I stayed with 1 friend and we comfortably shared the bed and we had everything we needed for our weekend stay including coffee, tea, and bathroom supplies. The location was great with lots of fun bars within a few blocks of us and the subway entrance within a 10 minute walk as well. It felt very safe and secure and there was no outside noise to bother us at night.

We stayed at Dean’s place for a wedding that was a couple blocks away. It was great, the place was very roomy, very clean and super comfortable. Dean was a lovely host, making sure we got in okay and was very responsive. Some reviews talked about noisy neighbors but we honestly didn’t hear much beside the usual NYC sounds that you hear no matter where you stay (plus he provided ear plug incase we needed them!) But it didn’t bother us at all. Would absolutely stay again! Thanks again Dean!

Be mindful that since it's on the lower floor, you'll hear some noise from the upstairs neighbors later in the night, but Dean was responsive and helpful in any/all needs!

Deans place is great! We wanted a place super close to friends who live in the area and this was perfect. The space is big and everything was clearly brand new. There are a few things to know, that would have been nice to know, but I still would book here! The space looks like an old store front, but it’s probably been rezoned so that’s a little odd, but fine. The upstairs neighbor is a night owl, so we were woken up every night between 2-3am. Again, no problem and it’s going to happen in NY but when we travel with our kid, we like to know those things! I would definitely book again and plan to when we visit our friends in NY again!

One of the best places I’ve had the pleasure of staying. My husband and I were in town for a wedding and lucked out in finding this place right around the corner. The location is perfect. It’s surrounded by great shops, restaurants and a cute bookstore right on the corner. The interior is very modern and well decorated but felt cozy at the same time. I would love to stay here again our next time in New York.

Dean's place was exactly what I was hoping for. The apartment itself is spacious, airy and incredibly clean. It had everything I needed - great amenities, a large kitchen to cook in, and the AC kept the apartment cold on hot days. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The neighborhood of Cobble Hill is lovely - tons of restaurants and coffee shops on surrounding blocks and off Smith Street. Dean was a very gracious host - kind, considerate, friendly and helpful. I would love to stay here on my next trip to NYC!

Dean was a great host! Super responsive and provided us everything we needed. The Bnb is in a great spot - short walk to the F and close to many restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores. Everything was clean and orderly when we arrived and it was very easy to check in with the provided instructions. Plenty of closet and drawer space and all the amenities listed were provided. There is some street and building noise but nothing too bothersome and you can reach out to Dean if you’re having any issues. Would stay again!

What a perfect stay in Brooklyn! Just a quick walk to the train or ferry. Dean was incredible at returning every message promptly. He was even so kind as to offer to bring us some Epsom salts to soak our feet after a long day of walking. The space was immaculate and very well designed. We enjoyed a movie and tea and popcorn provided on the first night. The street was quiet. The only complaint (which is not really a complaint as it didn’t bother us, but may bother some guests) is that the walls are very thin and you could hear people outside and the neighbors upstairs very clearly. We found street parking right up front the first night, although we ended up having to move our vehicle the next morning because of street sweeping, which was a little bit inconvenient. Other than that, everything was amazing! Thank you Dean. We will be back again.
