My wife and I recently returned to New York together for the first time in over 20 years. We have gone there right after college in the fall of 1989 to be Jesuit volunteers working in the inner city. First half of the visit we stayed in Chelsea in what my wife called a hostel and I called a hotel. Second half of the trip we stayed in Brooklyn where we had actually lived as volunteers. Our former volunteer support person lives in Park Slope, and we wanted to be close by. After a little searching, we came across Marc’s place. It was very clean and quiet despite being in the city. Easy to get into, but also secure. In a cool neighborhood with restaurants and coffee shops around. Pretty close to the subway. Perfect place for a couple to stay and enjoy the city. I recommend it.

The location was excellent for our needs, the house was quiet, the kitchen was nicely redone and well supplied. The bathroom was tiny but adequate for our needs. The outdoor area in back was lovely.

I enjoyed my stay in this Brooklyn apartment. It's located in a very nice area - right beside plenty of shops and nice places to eat and at the same time on a quiet, peaceful, tree-lined road. i enjoyed having my morning coffees sitting in the yard area out the back surrounded by nice plants. Marc was very helpful throughout our stay.

Marc is a fabulous host. His place is beautiful, exactly as pictured and quite spacious for NYC. The A/C worked great in the peak of summer. Marc was very accommodating, offered us an early check in and was welcoming of extra guests too. He was friendly, greeted us with warmth and was willing to offer local recommendations too. Marc and family were very welcoming and accommodating and the apartment was super clean. The location is super with wonderful restaurants, cafe's and shops around the corner, lots of trees and a quiet neighborhood. Commuting with the F train into the city was sometimes very time-consuming as it does not always run as planned. The kitchen is super well-equipped which made me feel at home. Only downside is the loud air-conditioning machines that run close to the door to the backyard, which made it not possible to have the door open, but to sit outside to catch the early morning sun on the deck made up for it!

[Translated from German] We really enjoyed the accommodation in the brownstone. Everything was just like in the photos—clean, with comfortable beds. Since I was there with my daughter, we also used the sofa bed, which was very good. The location in Park Slope is great: quiet, but with several restaurants and cafés in the immediate area, and the main street with numerous shops and restaurants just a block away. The wonderful Prospect Park for jogging is two blocks away. Marc lives upstairs in the brownstone with his wife. Both were very nice and helpful, but also discreet. We also felt quite safe.

This Bnb was definitely the best we’ve stayed in - in New York and we’ve stayed in about 7 places over the years. The garden apartment was super clean and had everything you could think of. My in-laws were staying in Brooklyn for a weekend, so we booked Marc and Elizabeth's place (I am their neighbor who lives next door). They made us feel right at home and made sure we had everything we needed. Their apartment was very accommodating and the kitchen was great for socializing. The area is fantastic with a ton of great restaurants and cafes within walking distance--not to mention Prospect Park which is also just a short walk up the hill. I would definitely recommend Marc and Elizabeth's place for anyone looking to stay in one of the best areas of Brooklyn!

We had an awesome stay at Marc’s place! Very nicely decorated, very updated and so well-furnished. Location was close to the F train and was convenient to things to do and places to eat. Also, it was quiet.Marc was was an excellent host. We called him to get help using the tv and he came right away and followed up later to see if we needed any more help with it. One evening he let me know they we going out and had put their dog in it’s crate in case we heard any noise. Apartment was spotless.Our stay was perfect and we hope to stay there and future visits!

We had a fabulous stay at Marc's place, which is tucked into a quiet, charming stretch of Park Slope yet is very close to area restaurants, bars, and shops. Oh, and the subway is within easy walking distance. One of my favorite stays, EVER. Such a comfortable, cozy, beautiful home away from home. Truly the cleanest rental I've ever seen--it sparkled! Wonderful stay! I called Marc’s place a temporary home for a couple of months whilst searching for permanent accommodations and thoroughly enjoyed my time there, Marc was was lovely, neighborly and always attentive if ever needed! The location itself is fantastic - Park Slope is a great neighborhood full of lots of restaurants and a fab residential vibe with all its beautiful brownstones, and there’s lots of grocery options and public transit is readily accessible! I loved staying at this bnb. It's a beautiful space in a great, quiet (for NYC) neighborhood. The bed was extremely comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. (Though, with all the delicious food options in the area, I really did not feel the need to use it.) I especially appreciated the outdoor space, as the weather was lovely. Marc's place is really lovely and true find in the otherwise unpredictable New York City Bnb rental market. The location is really amazing, with two delightful restaurants just across the street on either side, and the back garden is a nice place to relax or work from home. Marc has set up the place with really nice decor so you feel like you're in a comfortable home from a design magazine. He was very easy to communicate with for any issues and immediately responsive. I would definitely stay here again.
