We had a wonderful 30 day stay at Jackie's -- The room is huge, the bed is comfortable, and the house is clean. Jackie is an ideal host: thoughtful and communicative. We'll probably be back

Jackie was responsive, communicative, and helpful. Jackie accommodated an early checkin, which was easy and well described. The room was clean, matched the pictures, & had some nice touches like towels and toiletries provided. The room is large, kitchen and common area are fairly small similar to most NYC homes.However, the room and entire apartment had an extremely strong chemical odor similar to mothballs or formaldehyde that was apparent as soon as I entered. Apartment also had some significant wear on the walls that isn't clear from photos. The building overall had a similar smell and a lot of wear and tear. The room also gets a significant amount of street noise. It's priced the same as other rooms in the area without these issues. I had to cancel the reservation immediately due to the odor - Jackie was quick to respond to me and Bnb and approved the refund. My interaction with Jackie was brief but she was professional and helpful throughout.

Great place to stay, access to A/C lines and 2/3/4 lines.There are some grocery stores nearby and plenty of bodegas. The neighborhood felt safe, even late at night. Jackie was very responsive and helpful!

Clean, quiet space. Jackie was very accommodating and provided everything we needed. When we had wifi issues the first day (ended up being something wrong with our phones, not the wifi), she was very quick to respond, called the wifi company and checked in with us to see if it was working. The entire apartment was quiet, and a great location. The room has lots of drawers and storage, a comfortable couch, and plenty of space to work remotely.

Jackie made us feel very welcome at her place. The room we stayed in was extremely spacious, with ample space to spread out, work, and relax. Jackie went the extra mile to provide new toiletries for us, and she made it super easy for us to use the kitchen and the bathroom, which she kept very neat and tidy. We loved the neighborhood--the apartment is a block's walking distance from slew of restaurants, groceries, and other stores, plus just a 10-minute walk from subway stations that take you all over the city. We would recommend her place to anyone!

We stayed at Jackie's place for two weeks. The room was big, light and had a good bed and sofa. It was very clean, with small nice details like toothbrushes, soap and masks in the drawer. The kitchen has everything you need. The neighbourhood has beautiful brownstone houses, though the subway station is quite far (12-15 min walk). Jackie was very flexible and responded quickly. We would recommend!

The listing is very accurate! A clean and large room. Our only issue was we couldn't open the lockbox with the key and the number the host shared didn't work. We ended up just waiting for another resident to open the door and once we got inside everything was fine.
