Shervin is a Super Host for a reason. My wife and I stayed at this find for 5 nights. Shervin was quick to respond to questions, and very kind. This place had everything we needed, and the outdoor space was a huge added bonus. The location is truly amazing, you can walk to SO many areas. Would recommend to anyone, and we would definitely stay again.

Shervin’s apartment is super nice - it’s a lived-in home, not a generic hotel vibe, so it makes you feel like you’re living as a local! The East Village is my favourite neighbourhood in NYC, and Shervin’s place is right in the thick of it. Another plus is that it’s easy access from the street with only one flight of stairs! Shervin was super responsive and helpful any time I contacted them. Everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay in a real NYC walk-up in a great neighbourhood with heaps to do and see. Visited a few friends in the area and considering our itinerary; sightseeing, restaurant and bar hopping, were constantly commended for being in an ideal if not perfect location. While most of our time was spent out, Shervin’s apartment also served extremely well as a space to decompress and cozy up with your guests for a restful night-in before venturing out into the city again the next day.

This place is staying at a college guy's apartment. Keep your expectations in line with that. I spoke to Shervin about issues with the bed pillows and linens. I was glad I took my own linens. Shervin was very responsive to issues. The place was easy to access. It was a first-floor walk-up. There isn't any long-term parking on the block.

Lovely one bedroom apartment, could comfortably sleep 4 if you don't mind doubling up. Kitchen is small but serviceable to reheating leftovers. (If you weren't planning on eating out, why are you staying in East Village?)Convenient to the L train and St. Marks for nightlife.

This place is very well located. Restaurants and coffee shops all around, easy to get to subways, and there's a bus line right out the door. It's very comfortable and clean, and given that it is on a low floor facing a main avenue that gets busy, it is surprisingly quiet. Comfortable bed, great couch, good size bathroom, and neighbors are also very quiet. Shervin is also a great host, and replies within minutes (if you message him at a reasonable hour :)I would stay here again without a doubt.

We had a nice overnight stay at Sherwin's East Village first floor walkup. It's easily accessible by public transit and Uber with plenty of local dining options and coffee shops. The space is compact, the basics are provided by the host. There is a refrigerator to store guests can use. There is a small outdoor area but we didn't get a chance to use it. The stairs are a bit narrow, one has to be careful with large cases. The building entrance had trash on the floor throughout our stay. The apartment itself was clean and tidy. The bedroom accommodates two adults and the couch can fit one adult or two kids.

I have to admit, this was my first time in New York and I couldn’t have picked a better place. Great location (15mins on the train to Williamsburg and 15mins walk to Soho/China town), clean and plenty of room for 2 people. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Wonderful location in a trendy neighborhood. We felt safe at all times. Awesome restaurants all within walking distance and the subway lines are close. Consider: this place has dim lighting all throughout apt. which drove me nuts not getting light, esp. in the bathroom, no toaster, no coffee machine/kettle, no hairdryer. My fault for not looking before renting. The pictures are accurate EXCEPT now there's clutter and it's dirty. A rolled up old rug, old pictures on floor, unopened boxes of items, weeds everywhere in the planters outside (we never used the outside as it's just not cozy spot like it appears) Dirty old bamboo wall, dirty outside furniture, the bathroom floor rug was so wet that I hung it outside for two days to dry out. There were long hairs and dusty floors. Sticky fridge handle too. Shervin mentions "cleaners", but I wonder if he ever self inspects? We made it work. Someone lives here full time and just leaves when you rent. If you're ok with that, this might be ok.

My wife and I stayed at this place with our 19 and 17 year old daughters. We found it quite easily even though there are many doors to businesses and apartments in this area. We stayed on a Saturday night and found street parking right away.We found good restaurants for dinner and breakfast and coffee. I love that this place feels lived in. I love properties that make me feel comfortable and at home vs. those that are sterile and full of the same old pottery barn type signs and furniture. Shervin's personal book collection is here. Shervin's coffee is here.Shervin is a great communicator and is friendly and replied to two questions I had - one about 12 hours before arrival and one during our stay.This is a great place for 4 adults to explore the lower east side. I would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic little apartment with back patio in the middle of the east village. Stayed two nights for to see friends and a bway show. Bedroom is out back, so no need to worry about traffic / noise form 1st ave. Very charming and lots of New York character . Easy and fast communication with host. Would definitely stay here again.

Would recommend and would stay again—Pros: location, accessible to mass transit, restaurants and markets nearby, size of the apartment, patio option, safety of the unit. Cons: dirty, dusty, roach traps and bug motels (none seen), filled with tenants items, lack of a clear understanding that you are literally staying in an occupied apartment and the tenant leaves and you come in and stay amongst all the items. Just overall uneasy being in someone’s space with open containers of food and products and massage oils and candles and lighters and just personal items. I believe it was worth the money. I believe it is a great catch for NYC. The pros outweigh the cons.

We had an amazing stay at Shervin’s hospitable NYC apt, in the best location in the city! Shervin provided many amenities and everything we needed to feel at home, and he was super accommodating with extra bedding and dropping our bags early. There are endless food options and shops just steps away, and easy access to trains to get anywhere. The private outdoor patio was a rare NY bonus! We will definitely be back.

The apartment is fabulous! Thank you for the courtesy of dropping our bags off early. The location is ideal. Access, check-in and security is outstanding. Our hi-lites: Comfortable, first-class bedding, a dark and quiet apartment for an awesome sleep; big work table, lots of seating, outdoor patio, and French press with coffee provided. The space is very well laid-out, with a beautiful brick wall and hardwood floors, and a super-soft rug at the couch. The beds, linens and bathroom were all spotless.All in all, the place is a GEM! We were happily satisfied with the property. A perfect way to enjoy NYC!
