Just returned home from my stay at Dave's place in NYC. His place was exactly how it is pictured in the listing. It's huge, especially for NYC! Just a few blocks from the subway station. We always felt safe in the neighborhood. Dave responded very quickly to any texts I sent. He was most gracious in letting us keep our luggage at the apartment beyond check out time because he did not have another guest right after us. I so appreciated that! It made our last day in the city wonderful because we did not have to worry about where to store our luggage until 3:00pm. I would highly recommend a stay at Dave's place. Added bonus...we found a foot massage place just a few blocks away..Forever Spa at 29 Eldridge Street. Oh my gosh!! The absolute best and and a must after walking almost 10 miles each day. I highly recommend it!

Awesome spot for a responsible group. Ladies weekend for us was a blast! We had so much fun at Dave’s place!! If this is available, snatch it up before it’s gone!! 🍎Bring earplugs though if you’re sleeping near the front of the loft as it got pretty noisy from the bar/music downstairs one night, but we had some with us, so it wasn’t an issue…and it is NYC after all (the city that never sleeps). ☺️We all felt really safe in the area (and we were a group of late 50, early 60 year old women). Wine shop close by. Only a couple of minutes to the subway. Thanks Dave for a great, comfortable stay!! ❤️

Totally New York style, it makes you feel like a true city dweller for a week. Completely equipped to make the stay perfect, very spacious, and having two bathrooms is a real luxury, considering we are in Manhattan. Very good location with several subway entrances less than 5 minutes away, as well as bus stops. Unbeatable atmosphere in the area, with many places to eat, have a drink, etc. The house is super clean. The kitchen is a 10. Making scrambled eggs for breakfast in that kitchen... it's the best. Dave, a luxury host. Very nice, he was waiting for us at the apartment upon our arrival and was ready for anything we needed without being overwhelming, which is what I like. In short, I give everything a ten. I recommend it without any doubt. It's hard to find something negative about the accommodation.

We enjoyed our stay at Dave's place. Dave was responsive to our questions and gave us lots of good recommendations. His place was unique, secure, and full of characters. It felt like a home and we felt living like a local. The living room was spacious although a little hard to cool during hot days. The neighborhood was vibrant and alive, with very good vibes down the street especially on weekend nights.

Great location! One of the best areas of NYC for the "real" experience of the city. Large flat, located along a hip and active street with many restaurants, stores, clubs and easy access to the rest of the city. This one is a bit of a heartbreaker for me as we get away only once a year. I think there's a disconnect between the listing and reality. It is definitely a funky/artist flat - which we love. But, we didn't love the old, stained and really tired pillows, mattresses and bedding. Also, "A/C" means in the bedrooms only - with portable units & 1 window unit. If you're a summer visitor, keep this in mind as we were often segregated to our BR's to cool off and escape the humidity. The host suggested opening windows at night, but that didn't make much of a difference. There's also mold around the kitchen sink. I think it's an amazing place, and I'd love to return, once the host makes some much needed, and not expensive, improvements.

If you have a biggish group going to NYC, you won't find a better place. The location is perfect for loads of subway lines to all the places you want to visit. There are so many great places to eat in walkable distance - scarrs pizza is only over the road! Two sets of keys, with one in the lockbox makes it so flexible when your group splits up. It was v hot in NYC, but the AC made the apartment a real haven. Two bathrooms makes life easier with a big group too. Thoroughly recommended.

With Dave, it’s completely different; you enter his world and have the incredible need to get to know this person and have a beer with him. Many personal belongings and a very tasteful decor that lets the eye wander (the feet hurt after long walks in New York anyway :) ). So we had a fantastic stay and can only recommend this apartment for a larger group (up to 6 people).

Dave was very flexible with the checkin and let us in in the morning right after our red eye flight which we really appreciated with three kids needing rest. The place has so much character and is Ina great location. We enjoyed the local restaurants and the neighbourhood vibe. The subway was only a few blocks away which made it very easy to get up or down town. One day we walked to Brooklyn bridge from Dave’s place which was about 20 minutes.

1 - This is advertised as a 3 bedroom unit, 2 of the bedrooms are OK the 3rd bedroom has a bunk bed set that has been split which is fine except that the mattress on each of them are impossible to sleep on. My daughters were forced to sleep in the living room each night on the sofa. So this is a 2 bedroom unit. 2 - The water flow in the shower to the main bedroom bathroom is not properly functional. It takes at least 5 minutes for the water to get hot then it’s almost impossible to adjust from hot to cold. Not to mention the water flow coming from the shower head is more a dribble than a flow. The shower in the second bathroom simply doesn’t work. The amount of hot water is sufficient for one person to have a decent shower. Then other guests must wait hours. All of the bedding and towels were like hand me downs from a college student. They did now smell fresh or even clean. 3 - The internet connection is fine in the front half of the unit but almost non existent in the rear of th

We had a very pleasant 1-week stay at Dave’s place. It is well located in Lower Manhattan, near by East Broadway subway station. The flat is huge with an amazing decoration and comfortable arrangement. We are a family of five and appreciated the two bathrooms (despite a few technical issues but no worries it remains manageable). Laundromats are very nearby and fast & economical. We all highly recommend !

We stayed at Dave's place during a period of Arctic cold. The apartment was not only gorgeous, but so warm. The beds were comfy, showers hot, kitchen sparkling, and sitting area homely. Dave was really easy to deal with and very quick to respond to our queries, which were only about where to eat locally. The details he provides prior to arrival are concise and easy to follow.None of our group had stayed in the neighborhood before and it was a great base from which to explore Brooklyn and the rest of Manhattan.

What a gem!! The apartment was very large and clean and had everything we could have needed. Easy and secure access from the street. Bedrooms were large and very comfortable for our family, bathrooms very clean and the kids enjoyed learning how to play darts. Parking was close by so we were able to park our van and use public transit to get around easily. Having the elevator was a blessing after all the climbing in the subway stations. Trader Joe's and Target Grocery were also just a short walk away. Dave was an excellent host, very proactive in sending information and answering questions. He left more detailed instructions and notes for us on the counter top for when we arrived. We had no problems at all during our stay and would definitely book again!!

Spent 8 fantastic days at Daves place with family. Really happy with whole experience. Great "trendy" apartment. Great location, only 5 min walk to east Broadway subway which was on the F line. 6 stops and you are at Rockafeller centre. Very quiet at night but a few bars around locally if required. 5 - 10 min walk to a Trader Joes for some provisions with a lovely bagel place enroute. All in all, would definitely recommend this place for your New York stay.

Dave's place was a great space for our trip for 5 to NYC. It is close to several subway stops so you can get around the city easily and there are cute food and drink places right around the apartment. The living space is very large, a rarity in the city, and we enjoyed having downtime there and playing darts. The only downside was that the main living space did not have AC, but there was a very large fan to help move the air. The bedrooms all had AC though so on the hotter days we kept to our rooms more when we were at the apartment. Thanks for a great stay!

Dave’s place was everything we were looking for - close to subway stations, spacious, clean, homey and full of character, on a quiet street with lots of options around in terms of coffee shops and restaurants. Dave was very accommodating - he even let us stay a little later so we didn’t have to lug our bags around town! Definitely recommend staying here if you want easy access to all nyc has to offer.
