I stayed here for 3 weeks for a workshop that I had in New York. Irene and Sylvan are great hosts. Although it is a small 2 bedroom apartment, you will never get bothered by their presence. A plus is that you have your own big restroom which is great, and the metro stop which takes you either downtown or uptown is only 5 mins away. I would recommend it to anyone planning on visiting new york.

Irene and her husband are humble and nice. The room is not huge, but works. I slept well in a comfortable bed. Own bathroom is superb! This is Manhattan, where the traffic is heavy. But I didn't need to use earplugs at night. Subway and well-stocked grocery store only two blocks away. Very comfortable ! Recommended for the solo traveler !

My plans changed shortly before I arrived meaning I had a lot of time to myself.Irene and Sylvan were perfect hosts and explained the ground rules and left me to myself.My room was large enough for me and the bathroom space was ample.Good transport links buses outside and 6 subway 2 blocks away on same street.It is very noisy outside but that’s not within the realms of my hosts who work from home.

Noisy (street noise), but that’s normal since we are in the city. Air conditioning in the room, which is appreciated in case of heat. Irène and her friend are very discreet, nice even though we saw them little and our very limited English prevented us from having a conversation. No worries in the neighborhood, even coming back after 10 PM, lots of small shops, metro line 5 minutes away on foot. There is a small café right next to the building's entrance where you can buy breakfast items (coffee, smoothie, pastries, fruit salad,...) at a fair price that is very frequented by locals. I recommend this accommodation.

I had a great time! The room was clean and cozy and the private bathroom was an amenity very much appreciated. Irene and her partner were very nice, open and welcoming. The metro station was only a five minute walk away so it was very easy to get around. Lots of smaller shops and inexpensive (but very good!) cafes and restaurants close by. Irene’s place is one of the best property you would find in and around New York City.Irene was available to welcome in when I checked in. Gave all the instructions needed to settle down well. She is friendly! Subway is 6 min walk from the property. The area is pretty much crowded so you won’t feel unsafe walking around alone! Has good restaurants around too! Irene is helpful and also suggested me some good shops around for shopping! Room was clean and nice! I will definitely come back to stay here!
